Louisiana Green Corps, a workforce training group, has partnered with the nonprofit Together New Orleans to offer a paid job-training course in green infrastructure and construction in New Orleans. The program, which begins on February 26, is a 10- to 14-week training and certification program in various fields related to renewable energy construction.
Participants in the program have the opportunity to earn stipends of up to $5,000, gain paid work experience, and receive other incentives. The partnership between Louisiana Green Corps and Together New Orleans was formed through the Community Lighthouse project, an initiative that aims to build solar-plus-battery resilience hubs in every neighborhood.
