Kaiser Permanente in San Rafael is now empowered by SolarCraft’s sustainable solar energy solution.

SolarCraft, a leading provider of clean energy solutions, has successfully implemented an innovative solar solution for 111 Partners, the building owner. This solution has brought immense benefits to Kaiser, the tenant, by significantly reducing their carbon footprint and enhancing operational efficiency. As a result, over 50% of Kaiser’s utility electricity consumption is now replaced with clean, solar energy.

The solar panels, which are roof-mounted, have the impressive capacity to produce 150,915 kWh annually. This translates to substantial savings for Kaiser, as they are projected to save close to $31,000 in utility bills every year. In fact, Kaiser has now adopted solar arrays at more than 100 facilities, including 31 hospitals, making them the eighth largest commercial producer of solar power in the US, according to the Solar Energy Industries Association.

Roger A. Smith of 111 Partners expressed his satisfaction with SolarCraft’s ability to complete the project on time and without disrupting Kaiser’s sensitive medical operations. This highlights SolarCraft’s professionalism and commitment to delivering exceptional services.

Moreover, the new solar panel installation is expected to offset 107 metric tons of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) annually. To put this into perspective, it is equivalent to removing 24 cars from the road per year, saving 247 barrels of oil, or sequestering carbon through 128 acres of trees in just one year. By harnessing solar energy, both the property owner and Kaiser are actively working towards minimizing their environmental impact, reducing operational expenses, and contributing to a sustainable future.

SolarCraft is a 100% employee-owned company that has been a prominent green-tech employer in the North Bay region for four decades. They specialize in delivering clean energy solutions for homes and businesses in Marin, Sonoma, and Napa counties, including solar energy and battery energy storage. With an impressive customer base of over 9,000, SolarCraft takes pride in having installed more clean energy systems than any other company in the North Bay.
