Rooftop Solar Powers One of Nation’s Oldest Food Banks

Foodlink, one of the nation’s oldest and most respected food banks, has partnered with GreenSpark and a local clean energy investor to install a 679 kW rooftop solar array at its headquarters in Rochester, NY. This project will provide long-term energy savings, allowing Foodlink to redirect more of its resources toward hunger relief across its 10-county service area. Beyond financial benefits, it demonstrates how local investment and collaboration can accelerate clean energy adoption while supporting critical community needs.
