The Tampa Bay Innovation Center is gearing up for an exciting start to 2024 with a new program focused on early-stage companies developing emerging technologies in the field of climate tech and sustainability. This program follows the success of TBIC’s first climate tech program, which took place in early 2023.
The inaugural program concluded in April with an Innovation Showcase that featured a keynote speech from Cathie Wood, the founder, CEO, and CIO of ARK Invest. The showcase also included presentations from the startup companies that had completed the 12-week product-focused workshop.
For the upcoming accelerator program, as well as the accompanying mentoring programs, the primary focus will be on climate tech and sustainability products. TBIC is thrilled to have the continued support of corporate partners such as ARK Invest, Duke Energy, and PODS Moving & Storage. These partners play a crucial role in the program by assisting with the selection process of participating tech ventures, providing mentoring, expertise, financial support, and other valuable resources.
The accelerator program is set to kick off in late February, and TBIC is currently accepting applications from interested startups. If you have a climate tech or sustainability-focused company and wish to participate in this exciting opportunity, you can submit your application through the TBIC website.
This program presents an excellent chance for early-stage companies to receive support, guidance, and resources to accelerate the development of their innovative climate tech and sustainability products. With the backing of experienced mentors and the collaboration of established corporate partners, these startups have a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in these critical fields.
