Utah Beef Producers owner Henry Barlow, who has 35 years of experience working in Utah, said that the facility is unlike anything else in the state. He has observed the challenges faced by ranchers in obtaining kill dates for cattle in Utah, which can take up to nine months. As a result, many cattle are transported out of state for feeding or slaughter. Barlow aims to bring back the practice of finishing cattle in Utah with the opening of this facility.
